UNIDA Bogor Lakukan Penjemputan, Sambut Mahasiswa Program PMM Tahun 2021

In an effort to welcome students from various universities across Indonesia who are participating in the Merdeka Student Exchange Program (PMM) at Djuanda University (UNIDA) Bogor, the UNIDA PMM Committee went to Soekarno Hatta Airport in Jakarta to pick them up on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Vice Rector I of UNIDA Bogor, Dr. Ir. Ristika Handarini, MP, who was also part of the pickup team, warmly welcomed the PMM program participants. She stated that the students would begin their lectures on the very same day, October 21, 2021.

"We would like to welcome all the students here today. It has been noted that all students will begin their lectures on October 21, 2021. The students will adapt and socialize with their peers. We warmly welcome their arrival and hope this PMM program runs smoothly according to our shared expectations," she said.

Meanwhile, Dr. La Ode Amril, M.Pd., Director of the Directorate of Education and Learning (DIKJAR) at UNIDA Bogor, mentioned that 94 people were picked up directly at the airport in two groups.

"Today, 94 participants who will be inbound to UNIDA Bogor were picked up. They are from various universities, including Universitas Asahan Medan, Universitas Islam Riau, and others. However, some of those 94 people had to reschedule their arrival due to issues with their PCR tests," he explained.

Dr. La Ode Amril, M.Pd., added that in addition to the pickup, an official welcome ceremony was scheduled for Monday, October 25, 2021. The PMM participants arriving at UNIDA Bogor would be staying for approximately three months.

"After today, we plan to hold the PMM program welcome ceremony on Monday. Then, their learning process will be conducted online, following UNIDA Bogor's learning scheme. However, we will make every effort to hold the Archipelago Module course in person while still adhering to strict health protocols," he stated.

One of the PMM students, Syarifah Wasila from Universitas Bangka Belitung, said this was her first time visiting Java. Syarifah Wasila hopes to gain a lot of new knowledge and insights.

"Thank you for the very warm welcome and excellent service from Djuanda University. I'm very grateful as it helps those of us from outside the region. I hope to gain much more knowledge, especially here at UNIDA Bogor, so that we can share what we've learned and, God willing, take it back to our home regions," said the Agribusiness student.
