Sosialisasi Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka Angkatan 2 Tahun 2022

On Thursday, March 31, 2022, the Biro of Education and Learning at Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a Socialization Event for the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) Batch 2, 2022. The event reopened registration for course lecturers, Archipelago Module lecturers, and mentors. This socialization was attended by Djuanda University lecturers via an online meeting room.

The PMM program aims to enhance the ability of higher education institutions to manage student exchange programs and provide ideas for the internalization and development of program governance at both host and sending universities.

From the students' perspective, the program is designed to improve or strengthen their view of respecting and celebrating Indonesia's diverse society. This enables students to broaden and deepen their academic knowledge.

Resty Yektyastuti, a speaker and Head of the MBKM Division, explained the differences between PMM 2021 and PMM 2022.

"The key changes for PMM 2 (2022) include a selection process for host universities, accompanied by offline technical guidance on management and the Archipelago Module. Host universities have already determined the courses offered for students to take, and students will select their university level during registration. Additionally, there are no partner universities."

Meanwhile, during the implementation of PMM 1 (2021), all sending universities could also be host universities, and the credit transfer mechanism was difficult to understand.

Regarding the implementation of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program, students are encouraged to take a total of 20 credits from the courses offered by the host university. Students can also combine courses offered by the host university (a minimum of 14 credits) with courses from their home university for up to 6 credits (taken online without practicums). This was explained by the speaker, who is also the Head of UNIDA's MBKM Division.
