Djuanda University (UNIDA) warmly welcomed the 2022 Merdeka Student Exchange Program 2 (PPM2), organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. On May 17, the Bureau of Education and Learning (BPP) held a socialization event for Vice Deans and Heads of study programs at UNIDA Bogor, which took place in the Multipurpose Room of the Graduate School.
Dr. La Ode Amril, M.Pd., the Head of the Bureau of Education and Learning and a speaker at the event, explained that this activity was a follow-up to the approval of the PMM2 implementation proposal. The socialization was therefore held to present the technical details concerning students and Heads of study programs, as well as the technicalities of converting 20 credits at both the home and host universities. The goal was to ensure the smooth execution of PMM2 and a shared understanding of the program.
He added, "Student interest in this program is very high, but they need guidance and encouragement from their study programs. The difference between the current PMM and last year's is that students must choose courses that have already been entered into the system and are free to choose, with a minimum of 10 credits. Study programs need to meet a target number of students to be sent for PMM2."
Vice Rector I, Aal Lukmanul Hakim, S.H., M.H., was also present to provide guidance. He noted that with the PMM implementation period starting on May 13–28, 2022, preparation was needed to receive students from other universities and to manage both inbound and outbound students.
"Many agendas need to be prepared by the academic and student affairs departments, including the course conversion system," he stated.
